Dahlia 101A: Digging, Storing and Propagating Dahlias from Tuber Divisions

  • Wilding Hope Farm 229 Cuba Mills Road Mifflintown, PA, 17059 United States (map)

Part 1 of our 3 course series on growing, harvesting, and designing with these gorgeous show stopper blooms! Attend individual workshops or sign up for all 3 at a discounted rate here!

In Dahlia 101A we will demonstrate digging and dividing dahlia tubers for propagation and plant health, and show several different storage methods for over wintering tubers. We’ll also do a farm tour and explore our experimental methods of overwintering dahlias without digging both outdoors and in our field tunnels and talk about how we use inter cropping to save growing space and control weeds and pests. This is a hand’s on event, so bring a pair of gloves and prepare to get your hands dirty!

All attendees will receive 5 healthy tubers that can be picked up at one of our markets or at the farm in early May.

You can purchase tickets for just this workshop here!
